Troop 216 Winter Place Ski Trip 2/12/05

By John C.

All of the scouts were eager to get to the gym so we could play basketball and then go straight to sleep.  It was a long drive but worth it.  As soon as we got there we played basketball with everybody.  The next morning we got up at five thirty to go to the ski lodge. The worst part of the trip was the long line to get your skis or snowboards, but after that it was fun.  It had snowed the night before so the snow was nice and soft.  Three out of three got the skiing merit badge.  I heard that all of the scouts had a good time; none of them had a bad time. About twenty scouts showed up. We skied from 7:00 am to about 9:30. A few of us ran out of gas a little earlier. If there was any snoring that night, I didn’t know because I slept like a stone.  We didn’t have any injuries or anything like that.  I asked some of the scouts about their trip and they said they had an awesome time and want to come next year.  We got up on Sunday morning for our 4 hour ride home to a nice warm shower.
